BritishRooms.co.uk — Submission Terms & Content Licence

These Submission Terms (“Agreement”) govern any material (text, photos, images, videos, descriptions, comments, ideas, etc.) you submit (“Your Content”) to BritishRooms.co.uk (the “Site”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By submitting content to the Site, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Who Can Submit

You must be at least 18 years old.
You must be the original author or creator of the Content, or otherwise have all necessary rights (e.g. licenses or permissions) to submit it under these terms.
You may not submit material that is defamatory, obscene, illegal, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.

2. Grant of Licence to BritishRooms.co.uk

By submitting Content to BritishRooms.co.uk, you grant us:

A non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable licence to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, adapt, edit, crop, translate, display, and otherwise exploit your Content (in whole or in part) in any media (now known or later developed).
The right to sublicense those rights to partners, affiliates, agents, or third parties.
The right to waive or not enforce any moral rights (e.g. rights of attribution or integrity) you may have in respect of the Content.
The right to use your name (or username) alongside the content, unless you expressly request otherwise at the time of submission.

You agree that your Content is not confidential and that we do not owe you any compensation for its use.

3. Warranties & Representations

You warrant that:

You own or control all rights in and to the Content, or have obtained all necessary rights, licences, consents, and permissions for us to use it under these terms.
The use of the Content by BritishRooms.co.uk (as permitted in this Agreement) will not infringe any third-party rights (including but not limited to copyright, moral rights, privacy rights, trademark rights).
The Content is accurate and not misleading, and you have not posted it in bad faith.
You will not submit content that violates any law, or is defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful, unlawful, or harmful.

If we receive claims or legal actions relating to your Content (for example, claims of infringement or defamation), you will indemnify and hold us harmless from all resulting liabilities, damages, costs or expenses (including legal fees).

4. Moderation, Removal & Rejection

We reserve the right (but do not oblige) to review, edit, refuse, or remove any Content for any reason, at our sole discretion, at any time, with or without notice.
We may remove Content that we believe violates these terms, or that is otherwise objectionable, inaccurate, outdated, or harmful.
We also reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account or access to the Site if you repeatedly violate these Submission Terms or any other terms on the Site.

5. Your Responsibilities & Conduct

When submitting content or interacting on the Site, you agree:

Not to impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
Not to post duplicate or “dummy” content to make it appear newer.
Not to post content that includes viruses, malware, or otherwise harmful code.
Not to post personally identifiable or sensitive personal data about third parties unless you have their consent.
To remove or deactivate content if it becomes inaccurate, unavailable, or no longer applicable (for example, when a room is no longer available).
That you are solely responsible for the Content you post, including its legality, reliability, accuracy, and originality.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

We do not endorse or verify every listing or user. We make no warranties or representations (express or implied) about the suitability, accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any submitted content or listings.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your submissions or from third-party use of or reliance on your submitted content.
Our total liability to you under or in connection with these Submission Terms shall not exceed £100 (or such lower amount as may be required by applicable law), or the amount you have paid us (if any), whichever is lower.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update or amend these Submission Terms from time to time by posting a revised version on the Site. Your continued use of the Site or submission of new content after such changes become effective constitutes acceptance of those changes.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Submission Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
You agree that any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
