Terms & Conditions

1. Parties and acceptance

  1. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (the “User”, “you”, “your”) and BritishRooms (“we”, “us”, “our”) in respect of the purchase and use of Boosters and Premium Accounts on BritishRooms.co.uk (the “Platform”).
  2. By purchasing or using a Booster or Premium Account you accept these Terms, so please read them carefully. If you do not agree, you must not purchase or use such services.
  3. We may amend these Terms from time to time. The version on the Platform at the time you make a purchase will apply, unless we expressly agree otherwise.

2. Eligibility

  1. You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract.
  2. You must register an account on the Platform and maintain accurate profile and billing information.

3. Services: Boosters & Premium Accounts

  1. Boosters: A Booster is a paid service that increases the visibility of your listing(s) – e.g., higher placement in search results, “featured” status, priority notice to renters. The exact features of each Booster plan will be shown on the Platform at the time of purchase.
  2. Premium Accounts: A Premium Account is a subscription or one-time purchase which grants you additional features/benefits (for example more listings, priority support, analytics, etc). The benefits will be specified on the Platform.
  3. We reserve the right to modify the features of any Booster or Premium Account (or withdraw them) at our sole discretion, provided we give reasonable notice if the change is materially to your detriment.

4. Payment, subscription & renewal

  1. Payment for Boosters or Premium Accounts is due at the time of purchase (and/or renewal) by the payment methods accepted on the Platform.
  2. For subscription-style Premium Accounts: the subscription will commence on purchase date (or other start date specified) and continue for the subscription term unless cancelled in accordance with clause 5.
  3. Prices exclude VAT (or other applicable taxes) unless stated.
  4. We reserve the right to change the pricing of future subscriptions, but this will not affect an existing subscription term you have paid for.

5. Cancellation and refund policy

  1. You may cancel a subscription to a Premium Account at any time. The cancellation will take effect at the end of the then-current term and you will not be charged for subsequent terms.
  2. Boosters are non-refundable once activated, except where required under applicable law (for example if the service is manifestly not provided).
  3. If we materially change the features of a Premium Account (to your detriment) we will provide you the option to cancel and receive a pro-rata refund for any un-used portion.

6. User responsibilities

  1. You must use the Platform and services in compliance with all applicable laws and these Terms.
  2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  3. You must ensure your listings are truthful, not misleading, and comply with our listing rules (as may be posted on the Platform).
  4. You may not use the services for spam, misuse, fraudulent or illegal activity.

7. Termination & suspension

  1. We may suspend or terminate your access to Boosters or Premium Account benefits (and/or your overall account) if you breach these Terms, engage in prohibited use or if required by law.
  2. Termination of your account or service does not relieve you of obligations incurred prior to termination (including payment obligations for services already provided).
  3. Upon termination or expiration of a Premium Account term, you will lose access to the Premium features. Any listings boosted may revert to standard status.

8. Changes to service & terms

  1. We may at any time change or discontinue any service feature, including Boosters or Premium Accounts, provided we give reasonable notice when a change is potentially to your material detriment.
  2. We may amend these Terms at any time; the latest version available on the Platform will be binding on you.

9. Limitation of liability

  1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the services will be limited to the amount you paid to us for the relevant Boosters or Premium Account in the preceding 12 months.
  2. We exclude liability for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, except in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or as required by law.

10. Governing law & dispute resolution

  1. These Terms and any dispute arising under them shall be governed by the laws of England & Wales.
  2. Any dispute shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.

11. Miscellaneous

  1. If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that part will be severed and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
  2. We may assign our rights under these Terms at any time. You may not assign your rights without our written consent.
  3. Any notices to us should be sent to the contact details on the Platform.
